Sound Detection Sensor Module – LM393 Based Digital Output

The Sound Detection Sensor Module is a simple and compact sound level sensor designed to detect noise or vibrations from the surrounding environment. Based on the LM393 comparator IC, this module allows Arduino and other microcontrollers to respond to sound triggers when the detected audio exceeds a predefined threshold.

Sound is detected by the built-in electret microphone and converted to a digital signal using the onboard op-amp circuit. The detection threshold is fully adjustable using the onboard potentiometer. When a sound is detected beyond the set threshold, the module outputs a LOW digital signal and lights up the onboard LED indicator, making it ideal for sound-based triggers in automation, alarms, and interaction projects.
